Two Little Buds & The Farmer's Collective energize the corner of Main and D in renovated space that reflects the owners’ creativity.
Mindy Staton is an owner of Two Little Buds Florist, Morning Sun Flower Farm and The Farmer's Collective. Two Little Buds is co-owned with Mindy’s Mom, Alice and opened on the ground floor of the Davis Building in 2018. A boutique floral design studio, they specialize in wedding florals, event design and workshops that reflect their love of farm-fresh local product and bounty from their own flower farm. In 2023, Mindy and her husband Josh wanted an additional outlet for flowers as well as produce from local farmers and opened The Farmer's Collective next door to Two Little Buds.
CDA crafted unique spaces for both enterprises. Adding a garage door that can be open during warm weather allows the flower studio to be engaged and accessible from the sidewalk. Indoors, many original elements and wall textures were retained and celebrated. Next door at The Farmer's Collective, a service window was added to give easy access for drinks and light bites on the sidewalk patio. Inside, Mindy added a vibrant wall graphic to enhance the cheerful display of flowers, local produce, fresh bread, bagels, milk, coffee, deserts, and wine. A small kitchen, bar and dining area allows patrons to perch and enjoy breakfast or the sandwich of the day.
