Lifelong Hamilton residents and sisters fulfill their dream of operating a bakery in Downtown Hamilton.
Creativity and a passion for handmade, artisan pastries, breads, and treats proved to be the perfect combination for the artist-focused Artspace Hamilton Lofts building. CDA worked with The Almond Sisters to plan and design the layout of their retail space as a new commercial tenant in the newly renovated Artspace Hamilton Lofts building in downtown Hamilton.
In order to maximize the best use of space in a relatively small footprint, a mezzanine deck was designed to elevate the mechanical equipment to allow for efficient use of floorspace for preparation and baking equipment. The prominent High Street-facing location provided an eclectic atmosphere for residents and visitors to gather and enjoy a sweet treat.
