Henry’s Candy was a renovation project of an outdated convenience store in downtown Hamilton.  Elements included original built in shelving that the landlord required to be reused, the addition of new mid-century modern lighting fixtures, and a fresh white color scheme with pops of color which lets the custom-made plexiglass bins of candy become the centerpiece of the store.  New graphic panels were inserted into the existing sign box and a new counter inside each storefront window allows for an ever-changing eclectic window display of sweet treats.  The construction work was self-performed by Henry’s owners and this is a perfect example of the support that CDA gives to the small owner retail community of Hamilton.
