What We Did

“The building will help meet the needs of our students and will serve our community for generations. We are proud to share the success of this project as the school opened on time and within budget.” – Shawn Haughn, Supt.

Increasing enrollment and the age and condition of its 2 Elementary Schools led Bloom-Carroll Local Schools to consolidate all K-5 students into one building to accommodate 1,200 students, located on property adjacent to the current Middle and High Schools. The building includes 60 learning spaces, 10 small group rooms, cafeteria, and performance space for 450 students and a 2-story media center for all ages connected by an internal staircase.

Mike led the planning and programming process and the CDA team played an essential role in the design and creation of construction documents to bring the project to completion. The CDA interiors team was focused on space planning, colors and finishes, interior design elements, casework, floor patterns, furniture selection, signage, graphics, specifications and participated throughout construction administration.

The District passed its bond issue in May 2018 and was part of the Expedited Local Partnership Program with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission.
